Hunting trans. UPDATE

Back to stage 1 ! I just pulled the converter cover to check the part number on the converter itself......it's the right converter!
Soooo...if anyone has any ideas I'm open to suggestions again!

oh well...

At least you wont have to pull the tranny!! (yet!)..maybe the solenoid isn't keeping it in lockup mode,or another thing I thought of is one of my trucks with a TH350C tranny with a lockup converter had a ground strap from one of the inspection cover bolts to the frame near one of the cab mounts..since the tranny is rubber mounted in a way (by the trans mount and motor mounts),its doubtful, but maybe its grounded poorly enough so the solenoid wont stay engaged??...

Yeah maybe, thanks for the thought anyway. The motor is well grounded so that shouldn't be an issue but no harm in trying.
I may take out shift kit and upgraded servos one at a time and see if it cures it.
After all these months of work, all I want to do is drive!!!!

If you want to eliminate all possibilities of the solonoid not working correctly and make it lock up without worrying, instert a Check ball into the snout of the tcc solonoid and re-install solonoid, this will make the tranny lock up after it hits 3rd gear and eliminate any possible wiring/ground/solonoid problems..
