I picked up some 15x10 Hurricanes and considering getting them done in full chrome...

I posted a few pics here:

They will go on the '72 Blazer for shows, so I'm thinking chrome would be a nice touch.

Any advice on "cleaning" these up before I send them off to get done?
When you zoom in, you can see the roughness from the casting on the fins, etc.
I'd consider smoothing those out beforehand.

Thx!

when sending out for polish and or some sort of finish coating its best to ask first if they want them as is or let you do stuff . sometimes we the owner can do stuff to them to make it more labor to get ready for the finish coat and it better to leave it to the pro's .

dont know if i am a fan of these in chrome . i prefer them high polished fin's / outer lip / inner lip were the lugs go then the other surfaces go black or maybe body color of the vehicle as thats what they were back in the day .for the color of your blazer and old school wheels these are i could see yours painted body color like i said above in the void sections .

i own a set of 8 lug 16.5x9.75 of both hurricanes and d-window slots both from WESTERN WHEEL brand . love the old school look they give my rides .

welcome to posting on the site nice to see new members keeping the old stuff alive . :saweet:

Thanks for the advice! I’ve heard the opinion to stay with polished b/c that’s the old school look. I may do that. I had sent my FatBoy wheels out for a chrome swap years ago and I love the upgraded look of chrome. I was also hoping someone would chime in if they have ever sent their Western or Appliance wheels out for chroming...
