HVAC question - ditch heat/AC but keep blower?

I think I want to rip the heat & AC out of my truck but I want to keep the blower. Is this possible?

My thoughts:

Remove heater & AC box but leave blower motor in place. Hook it up to a switch / pot to keep the variable speed of the fan.

Then I can remove the HVAC controls and put my stereo in its place and move my CB into the hold stereo location.

What am I not thinking of?

Defrost? Probably not needed in your area, if you don't need heat, you probably don't need that either.

Nope, defrost not an issue. The only thing I'm interested in keeping is the vent functionality. I can't stand stagnant air in a vehicle and if I'm playing in the mud I will have the windows up.
