looks sweet. I would like to rip the bed off of mine but it is still a DD. The hybrid thing is way out of the question for me too...mostly money reasons

Its coming along. I finished the front signal lights, extended the hood, and installed the other inner fender tonight, after the pics were taken. Now its into the garage again frontwards so I can start the back end.
The rear winch is coming off, the gas tank is being relocated, the frame is being cut off behind the spring hangers, a roll bar is getting installed along with the tire mount, and some sort of a tool box back there. Then I can actually take it for a proper shakedown run. After that is the removeable fender extensions (to make to streetable) and all the rest of the finishing work... stereo, CB, the winch controls, etc etc. Lots to do still.

How hard was it to get it around that big block?

I have 38s on it.
The BB wasnt hard to get around, I lengthened the front 1/4 panels by 7 1/2", but otherwise it looks like it came with the 454! The steering column was an issue, its shifted about an inch to the left at the bottom, and clears the valve cover fine.
