I noticed that the power steering hoses go from the steering box to the hydraboost brake master cylinder. Does this mean that you use brake fluid for the power steering fluid in the hydraboost trucks?

Those lines go to the booster behind the master cylinder. Regular power steering fluid works just fine. DOT 3 for the brakes...

Careful with that... some configurations use Dot 5 (Like CUCV's) and will NOT mix very well with anything else. Dot 3/4 is glycol based, Dot 5 is silicone based.

Hydroboost can use either ATF or power steering fluid.

Well I flushed the system with about 2 litres of power steering fluid, so hopefully that washed out most of whatever was in there.

Only two things could have been in there, ATF or PSF. The brakes are a different system, they don't share fluid.

I like to run Kubota Super UDT hydraulic fluid in mine. Has a higher boiling rate and dosen't foam up as easy like ATF and power steering fluid.
