Looking to convert my 79 to hydralic clutch. I don't need the parts that can buy from napa, just to save on shipping. Pm me what you have.

John, they can fit all of the hydraulics inside of the bell housing, so what would be the difference? Also, I don't believe you can get the reservoir from NAPA, but I could be wrong.

You still have the weight, and I can tell you i have yet to get a hydraulic setup that works, I always end up buying new master and slave, and the hose is cheap insurance.
I am sure you can also get the reservoir, even if it's not the exact same one, any reservoir can work.
Not to mention the clutch and the weight of it, unless it's brand new, I would want to buy it new.:dunno:

To the OP
I have a bellhousing and fork if you want to buy the rest from NAPA.
$100 plus shipping.

All of the hydraulics are off the shelf items. I did the same. Bought the bell used and everything else is new. I used a MC from a 91 with the integrated reservoir, hose from the same and a slave from an 85. Make sure you get the clutch kit for the year of the bell, not the motor in the truck as the throwout bearings may be different. Ask me how I found that one out:whistle:

So I don't need the pedals to go from mech to hydralic clutch?

Not sure about the newer body style. I just drilled a hole in the appropriate spot in mine and used a clevis rod end to attach it. Works great.

You can modify your pedals to work, I had some drawings that I made, I need to find them. I wanted to start making them but there isn't enough money in it to dedicate much time for now so I wil when I have the time to kill.
But I could help you with it.
And I got your PM I will reply there.
