I've seen several setups with both the full hydraulic and the hydraulic assisted units and bending the tierods have Not been a problem-hitting the cylinders on rocks has been

I saw my buddies brother in a 76 F-250 w/hydro assist smash it on a rock and shoot fluid everywhere. He had to drive home with no power assist, 35" tires, and a tiny steering wheel it was pretty funny watching him fight with this thing. Sucked for him though.

My Chevy isn't broken, its just out of gas.

Bending tierods really doesn't seem to be a large problem. In fact I used to bend them quite often but i havn't bent a single one since I installed my Redneck Ram. I have seen several people bash the rams or tear lines loose that's why I send caps with all my kits so that if you do then all you have to do is cap of the ports and you have your stock steering back.

Bend this? <a target="_blank" href=http://coloradok5.com/rockrod.shtml>http://coloradok5.com/rockrod.shtml</a>

One of the reasons I'm trying to get hysteer to work is to get the ram up out of harms way.
