Been reading NUMEROUS threads on how to hook this up.

I'm hoping BP71 and Yukon will chime in.

I have a 1996 NV4500 with the Advanced Adapters bell housing. I am a little confused on which setup would be best. I know Yukon Jack is running the 89 Master/Slave setup. I would need a shim. The Advance adapters calls for 85-91 Slave.

Now, BP71 ran a later year master/slave combo. 92-95 setup. I believe so you don't have to run the shim like Yukon did. But some changes had to be made to the Advanced Adapters mounting setup on the bellhousing.

Also heard you can buy the master/slave w/hoses already bled and ready to roll from LMC. That sounds like a good idea.. the length going to be good to go?

Also, would the clutch fork for the SM465 work?

What year setup would be best? Thanks!

The AA bell is machined for a Jeep slave if I recall right, and AA sells an adaptor bracket so you can run the 85-91 'square body' slave. That was what I did, and it worked just fine. Bleeding it all was a bitch though...There should be a fork that comes with the AA bell.

I bought this as a kit from a guy on ebay. I dont have the fork. Should I buy one? SM465 is a no go on its fork?

There are different versions of the SM 465 fork, one might work...but how to know if it will and which version? Easier to call up AA and get the missing fork for your bell.

Few bits of advice. Yes, I used a 95 combo, but I had to make a custom line for it and get some fancy fittings. Bleed the system while it's off the truck, you'll be happy you did. You'll also want to reinforce the firewall where the master bolts onto. If you already have a manual trans, I might try the master Yukon used and put it in the same spot at the stock mechanical pushrod goes through the firewall, that way the angle would be ok to keep and not need a shim. I have no idea if it fits there though. :)

If your clutch fork is missing, make sure whichever combo of throwout bearing you use provides the proper angle to disengage the clutch. Mine required some heavy mods for some reason.
