Well, I've been out of the game for a while. Truck has been sitting for over a year! We had our second son and just had a lot going on. I helped a friend rebuild some axles a couple weekends ago and it lit the fire under my arse. I bought everything for hydro assist over a year ago and am now ready to install. The ram I bought has different mounting ends on each side.
My question is, should I cut and turn the left side and mount it like everyone else does ( parallel to the axle and tierod) or cut and turn the right end and try to get it above the axle, out of the way. My main concern is the heat from the welding that close to the ram if I cut the left side. What is everyone's opinion on this? I didn't notice the ends when I bought it, but now I'm stuck with it.
