We still use Hydrazine for engine emergency start in the U-2. Small tank in the mid engine bay. Had a spill many years ago and it toasted one of the engineers lungs.

Brings back memories. I flew on an awacs sortie in the desert back in 97. The radar nco was pointing out all the aircraft in theater and I asked him what's this guy flying at 660 and he said that's the u2. I think I said something profound like wow

I’ve been watching green flamed top fuelers for decades. Never seen one not do that.

I don't remember the green flames. But then I see top fuelers like once every 5- 10 years lol.
