hydro assist hose routing

my box has the two caps tapped. The end cap hose just goes straight towards the passenger side, the top cap hose goes towards the passenger side, then down under the engine crossmember. Both hoses then run along the engine crossmember to the passenger side, then back towards the drives side on the axle. Leaves a LOT of hose to allow for suspension movement. I also run my diff breather hoses attached to the two hydraulic hoses, so I have a single hose bundle going down to the axle.

I dont have any better pics, but the hoses runs from the box to the front of the spring back down to the spring plate with a small rubber bracket then to the Cylinder. This way you dont have to worry about it getting over extended from the droop of the axle.

Are you running a double ended ram? Also, what arms are you running? It looks like you have a nice set up.

Yes on the Double ended Cylinder.
The steering arm is one I machined.
The draglink and pitman arm are from Offroad Design.
I also made the tierods from a Offroad Design Tierod. Just cut them down.

It seems to work pretty good on the street.

When I had the AGR rockram with the single ended cylinder on my blue truck I would notice the hydraulic assist when driving on the street. Thats the main reason I wanted to try the Double Ended Cylinder. Then I saw Jason (Willyswanter R.I.P.) had a double ended cylinder on his crew cab when he had the Dana 60 and he said it worked better then any assist he has used. So I decided to try it.

On the street I didnt feel a difference in the steering feel other then it eliminated my Death Wobble, but I have one finger steering when I am parked. And thats turning 41 inch Iroks on a 12" wide wheel.

I also did the pump mods by drilling out the fitting to 5/32" and taking out 1 or 2 shims. The pump whines like a bitch, but other then that I havent had a problem. The hoses are Russel Powerflex brand from summit. Was about the same price as some custom made hoses from EVCO house of hose.
