Well finally worked in some time between projects to get my hydro all set up this weekend.

It all went together real smooth too. I have no real testing done yet because my transfer cases are still on there way.

Well I started with a new pump and lines a few weeks ago to prepare for the setup. I modded my pump according to the texas site here http://westtexasoffroad.homestead.com/powersteering.html

That was easy with the pump out.

I also installed an extended resevoir with a piece of radiator hose, the old pump top cut off and some clamps.

Next I hooked up the rest of my ORD hi-steer setup. Then moved onto mounting up the rocklogic 1.5" x 8" ram with heims. I made up what I call a Greg mount for the u-bolt. I used the tabs that came with the kit to hook up the tie rod side. Everything works great nice and parrallel and guarded by the tie rod.

Next I took off the old caps top and front with the box still installed even the pitman and draglink. Installed the bling EMS cap and hooked up the lines.

Oh ya I forgot to mention I salvaged a sweet power steering cooler off a 2001 silverado at the yard, I put it behind the grill.

:D :D

Now I just need some transfer cases and seats!

I'd say that's more of a TortillaFabWorks-type mount!!! :usaflag:

Looks like a clean and functional setup.

If you want to get a little fancier, you can look for the old style remote filler canisters for the PS Pump. Mounts on the radiator support and then fills a round style pump (not teardrop style)....gets the filler up high, easier to fill and holds more fluid. Plus, it looks sort of "correct" since it's all factory Chevy parts.

Looks good, is that top cap an EMS piece also? I'm gonna be reworking my front setup and I'm looking for a way to keep my tires away from my hydro assist fittings.

Greg thanks for the advice.

Yep the top cap is an EMS piece too! Top cap is not to special just pre-tapped for an easy install with the box still on the truck.

Lines are definately out of the way of the tires!
