Last year in Moab, i started overheating my PS system, with the 1.5" ram setup from West Tex.

Pump is relatively new off a humvee, also have a cooler, total system volume is about 3 qts. Fitting is drilled 1/8" with (1) #4 washer.

In testing (all at idle) the system to see whats up, I unhooked the ram from the cross over first, using only the box. Seems ok.

But when I reversed this and used only the ram, it does nothing....

Is this a failure or is the ram just not keeping up.

How did you connect the ram without the steering box?
The steering box must be used to control the flow to the ram.

Or did you mean that the steering box weren't connected to the drag link?
If so, it wouldn't work, as the box needs some resistance to give pressure to the ram

Did the later, and called manufacturer, found out that is normal. Looking into it being either low pressure on pump or going out. Was new pump, kinda irritating...
