First time doing a hydro assist set up and after reading multiple threads between here and pirate, i believe i have the install procedure down. However I have a dana 44 that has just been resealed and was messuring for stroke length for a hydro assist cylinder. reading on here and pirate, I've noticed people are usually using 8 inch or 6 inch rams depending on tie rod location. With my tie rod in the factory spot (doing cross over but don't see the need yet to run high steer) I'm getting 7 inches when measuring from lock to lock using a fixed mark on my diff cover as a guide to mark my tie rod. 7 just seems an odd number to me for some reason. should I play with the steering stops on the knuckle, Am I measuring this out wrong, or should I just roll with it? Any advice is welcome.
