Can anyone tell if this is a hydro bell housing?

cant tell for sure. pic cut off at bell housing face . it will have cast in ear with 2 bolt holes and center hole around 50cent size in middle.

but being a fig 8 early tcase adaptor i am betting not 1 . as 85-91 was years for square body getting hydro and also round 6 adaptors also. unless someone swaped out parts .

EDIT : i have a pic saved here ya go.

So the guy selling this says it's out of an 87 1-ton. Does that make sense? If so that would mean a hydro bell housing.

not orignal then for tranny / tcase. via that style adaptor between the tranny/tcase. that stoped 84 last year . that style used 10 spline output/input gear with coupler sleave. known to wear out bad over time and some break .

just tell him to send you a pic of the left side of the bell housing like i posted.

they could have swapped in the tranny and t-case and kept the original bell. that's why i always ask for pics when buying parts trucks that say 'dana 60' axle. most of the time it isn't.

Also, only crew cabs were still using fixed yoke NP205's after 1979.

...and just to say it outloud, that's not a Chevy truck frame in the pic.

I'm going to wait and see if he sends more pics. Otherwise I don't think it's worth the drive. Thanks everyone!
