What's it look like? How do I know if I've got it?
It's in an '85 dually w/ hydr 465 (2wd)
I'm possibly getting the cab and two front clips and hood for trazer build. It doesn't have the booster behind the master cylinder like my '84 has.
Does anyone have pics of the firewall area of hydroboost equipped trucks? Thanks

here's a pic of the hydroboost on my 84 K30. not the best seeings it's the middle of the night and all.:D

All 1 tons and all diesels had hydro boost so chances are so do you. By your description with no booster you have a HB booster rather than vacuum.

I dont seem to have any pics of my setup.

That helps. It's definately got hydro boost.:D
Now here's some more questions. The hard line in the pic,off the master cylinder, closest to the firewall. Is that parts store replaceable?Mine has been cut off. What does that line go to? The truck hasn't been dropped off yet so it's not here for me to look at. it has a hydro 465 in it,also, which will be replaced w/ a 350/205.What do I do with the slave cylinder?Just pull it off or what.I'm new to the hydro stuff if you can't tell.By the way,I did search but couldn't find the info I needed.

Here's the run-down on my new project.
'85 c30,hydro 465, wiring harness has ben cut,set up for dual batteries(factory option?has battery trays on each fender)I'll be using the cab/front clip only for trazer build, will most likely sell the trans. or keep it for future use with a divorced Dodge 205.I haven't decided. Is there any benefits to keeping the power steering set-up that is currently on it?

That's all the questions I have for now. Thanks guys!

If you're going to use the hydroboost setup, you'll want the power steering pump -- it has the extra fittings. The 2WD steering box is also useful for crossover steering, and/or if yours has the other style fittings for the hydroboost conversion.

What extra fittings?

Two return lines on the reservoir.

Oh oh oh oh ... to the OP ... get the brake pedal off the donor truck, as they're different than a vacuum boost pedal. Really.

You lost me,Bro. If it's already got hydroboost, what conversion would I be doing.

I need a couple more pics, too,if someone can get them.1)as you're facing hydro MC,on the left(pass.side)is a cylinder looking thing. What is that? 2)Right next to the MC on the right(D side)there is something missing.two bolts holding it to the firewall. What is that?

I thought you were taking the hydroboost off that truck to put onto another -- no?

The cylinder thing is an accumulator. It allows you to have assisted braking for 2 stops if the engine is not running. As for the other part I am having trouble picturing what you are saying.

It dark down there but you can see my T in front of the pump pulley down on the frame. The return comes out of the box and right into it :D

No. The whole cab/front clip, hydro assembly will be coming off the c30 frame and transferred to the blazer frame. So everything(basically)is already there.

The part that has been removed is to the right of the MC,between it(MC)and the wiring harness held with two bolts.

Thanks for your patience, guys.I wish I was equipped to post pic. However I'm not that technologically advanced:o
