Im trying to get the rest of the parts needed to do it now. I just want to make sure I have everything before I pull my motor. I have the bellhousing, slave and master cyllinders and lines, and resevoir. Now I need a clutch and flywheel for an 85-87 truck right? Do I need a new starter for the same year truck or will my starter work on the new flywheel? And I guess I need the pedal assembly out of the appropriate truck too, which I have access to, I jsut need to know what to get. I just need the actual pedal and the rod that hooks to it that goes into the master cyllinder right? If thats it then the parts list would be:

Bellhousing
Slave cyllinder
Master cyillinder
Hoses and lines
Resevior
Clutch
Flywheel
Pedal assembly
Starter maybe?

If im missing anything let me know, I think ive thought of everything though. As far as the swap goes, my only questions are how and where to mount the master cyllinder and clutch pedal.

well you dont need a new starter...

but yeah you got clutch.. but pressure plate and throwout bearing are needed....
also the clutch fork...

think that is it .....

So I have everything on my list except the clutch fork? Can anyone give me some tips before I do the swap?

what kind of tips do you want?

need a tranny jack to remove the tranny and xfer....
swap bellhousing...
drop steering column
unbolt brake booster
remove the brake pedal assembly
replace with hydro setup....

put back together

Should I pull the motor or take out the tranny and transfer? I was gonna pull the motor to put some new seals in it but I might just wait until I get my 400 built and not worry about that. I have to remove the brake pedal assembly and booster? I wasnt aware of that.

depends on how you want to do it....

really easy to just pull the tranny and xfer..

remove dshafts...
4 bolts on xfer case cross member
4 or 5 bolts on tranny to motor....
then she will just slide out...

remember to use a tranny jack or something as this sucker is going to be heavy.......
