I have a hydro clutch pedal set that I was gonna use in my truck but its not working out the way I wanted. I have the bracket, clutch and brake pedals with the support rods that run down to the firewall.

I also have the part of the firewall that the master cylinder bolts to that I cut out of a factory hydro clutch truck for a template to use, if you're interested Ill give you that as well.

I also have a brand new, never installed, master, slave and the hose that runs between the two. Bought new at oreillys for $150 plus tax

I would like $175 shipped for everything. advance adapters has an adapter to mount a slave cylinder on a manual bellhousing for $37 which is what I was going to do but my ls swap headers wont allow for the fitment of a slave cylinder so Im going to keep a manual setup but for anybody interested you could swap to hydro clutch for cheap with all new parts.

Offers?? How about $125 shipped? Ill be losing money but I would like to see this stuff go to use and my wife is complaining about it all sitting on my dresser:whistle::haha:

I think the hose, master and slave could be made to work but as far as I know the pedal assembly is totally different. Ive never looked at the pedal assembly on a 72-older rig so you may have to verify with someone who has, Ill see if I can get some pics up for you.

Dan, are you interested in selling just the firewall template? If so, how much?

I am going to offer the firewall template to whoever purchases the other parts first hand, maybe you can work out a deal with the person that buys them:dunno: I know one interested party already suggested this.

However, if the person who buys the other parts doesn't want it, you can have it. I bet I can even mail it in a envelope so you wont have to pay any shipping.

I will give you the $125 plus shipping cost. Do you take PayPal or should I send a money order?
:waytogo:

Mr. Sharky,

Looks like you own a mid-80s truck that most likely already has the dimples for the master cylinder holes in the firewall. My truck is a '76 and does not have said dimples. I'm right in the middle of the SM465 swap and could really use that template.

Any chance you would be willing to forego the firewall template that Dan has?

Sale pending.

Mr. Sharky- there is one member ahead of you that has spoke up already, if the deal falls through for whatever reason I will let you know.

Snoozer- The current buyer I have has expressed interest in sharing the template with you, I will make sure that he gets in touch with you. If that doesn't work out I can trace the template on to a piece of cardboard or something that I can send to you before I mail out the parts. It wont be as good because it wont match the contour of the firewall but its something. And on a side not I have an 85 that does not have the dimples in the firewall which is why I got the template.

And for those interested, the template I have is kinda rough around the edges. It is simply a piece of firewall that I cut out of a factory hydro truck. I will post some pics and instructions of how to use it. Maybe it can be passed around to help more than one person?:dunno:

I'd be interested as well as I am doing this soon!

Dan, that would be great! I would be happy to pass it around to whoever wants it next too. :waytogo:

Please keep us posted on the template. If you have the time/energy, a pic of it would be cool to see.

I will see if I can trace a good template that can be mailed easier or even have it emailed.
I am hoping my 91 has the dimples even though it was an automatic.

I've got plenty of good pics of other peoples' hydro masters mounted to the firewall. But since I've got no dimples on mine, the challenge is locating precisely where to drill holes. My truck actually had an existing 1" hole already in the firewall. An electrical harness junction was passing through there. It looked like a great spot for the Master, so I unplugged the junction, and reluctantly drilled the other 2 holes for the mounting studs, and it turns out its too high by roughly an inch or 2. All said and done, my clutch pedal rests too high. My knee hits my steering wheel when I go to push the pedal. :doah:

Thats why I'm so eager to get this template. I'm hoping the firewall contours will match up and the rest will be cake!

Ok, here are some craptastic cell phone pics I took, if they are unclear to anyone speak up and I will try to get some better ones.

First pic is the piece of the firewall I cut from my 86 that was factory hydro, part of the firewall was already cut below this piece because it was a truggy which is why it is cut up so funny.

Next is a pic of the unmolested firewall of my '85. The brake booster mount is directly to the left, you can also see a factory hole for wiring, which the wiring has been removed and you kinda need to for the template to line up. You can also see a ridge along the top where sheet metal overlaps, I cut the template along this ridge on the 86.

And last is a pic of the template lined up along the firewall. I tried to cut the top so that it would line up with the overlapping sheet metal but you can see it doesn't line up so well. However, if you line up the wire loom holes the rest of the template should fit the contours of the firewall so you can mark the holes

I imagine that if you were to clean the firewall and the template with a wire wheel or flapper wheel or something to get bare metal and take off the rough edges it will fit a little better.

Thats a great looking template! Assuming the wiring hole is the same on all 73-87 truck cabs.

Let me know when I can make a move to get it!
