Ok, i swapped trannys in my truck and i noticed the clutch felt really soft, i had like half pedal. It would go to the floor and could barely disengage the clutch. I tried to bleed it and when pushing the clutch pedal down it got jammed up and bent the rod on the pedal going into the master.

I took the whole thing out and i can press the rod into the master cylinder, it will push fluid with the bleeder open. The cylinder in the slave will move but it gets stuck furthest out and it doesnt want to go back in. I tried to bleed the whole thing on the bench and it seems the thing keeps getting jammed up somehow. I put the thing back in after i ran fluid through it and when pushing the pedal it goes half way down and binds up again.

Any ideas? I'm thinking its the slave and im probably gonna order both but just seeing if someone else ever had a similar problem.

when i swapped i bought a universal master and i bent the rod. i also thought it was a bleeding problem. but then i went to a local store and bought a oem master and it worked perfectly. i'm thinking the bore or throw in the master was wrong and could push my slave or something like that. hope this help in some way or another. good luck

Well i ended up getting a new master and a slave cylinder. I was worried i would have to wait a few days but surprisingly they were both in stock. I dont know what was bad but i think replacing everything should fix the problem.

So now i'm off to try to bleed this thing so i can get to work tomorrow. Thanks.
