anyone have any pics of the hydro clutch master cylinder mounted onthe firewall. I am converting an 86 auto to a manual and need to know where to cut the hole.
If I am not mistaken, there is dimples where the bolt holes should go.
Look next to the wire harnes and see if they are there. If they are, it should be easy to figuire out.
If I can find my digital camera, I'll take a pic of my firewall so you can see what the hole looks like (mine was factory 465 and I converted it to th400)
discovered something interesting that i never paid any attention to before when i was pulling my last hydro setup out of the truck at the junkyard, the support rods are actually the same studs that hold the master cylinder int, and there are dimples in the firewall for it.
got them thanks, actually there are several dimples, i made an extra hole for ventilation /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif it gets kinda hot there. I made a paper template and kinda moved it around the firewall where i would think the mstcyl would go. I was wrong the first time i figured that out after i tried putting in the support braket. i cleaned the firewall a bit more and saw that there were like 6 dimples. important thing to remember is that the intake thingy from the resovoir tank has to sit right on top of the mstcyl.
thanks for the pic, /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
