Ok, I pulled a complete pedal assembly from a used truck and installed it in my K5. Should there be any large return springs for the clutch pedal anywhere (under dash or outside)? (there was on my old mech set up)

I've read a lot about folks having to unbolt the slave to bleed it, anything I need to do to prevent it from shooting the piston out while it's unhooked?

when we did nerraw117's we didnt unbolt it, well we did but was unsuccessful. You need to put some kind of force against it to try to keep the piston from moving was our best deal, so all of the force goes out the bleeder. We wedged a 2x4 between the clutch fork and the crossmember to keep it from moving and bled it that way.

Cool, thanks I'll give that a try.

Anybody got any idea on the pedal springs?

No springs on mine.

Just don't try to pump the pedal with the slave cylinder fully extended lol.

I noticed the spring on my old mechanical also and not one on the hydro one. I thought that was wierd so i grabbed the pedals but i have not did the swap yet

I have no springs on my set-up. I went from mech to hydro. the pressure coming from the pressure plate pushing back on the fork should be more than enough to bring the pedal back up.
