i bought a set of hydro pedals and almost have them all the way in and noticed that the hole in the brake rod is too small for it to go over the stud on my pedal has anyone else had this problem and what should i do i might be able to drill it out enough but there wont be much metal left on the sides

and also the bracket that bolts to brake pedal for the 2 switches dont seem to fit right like its in the wrong spot and what are the 2 switches for

my pedals only have one stud and no hole for another one how can i make this work i am starting to get frustrated with this whole thing lol i guess i need to breath a little i guess it will all be worth it in the end there was more to this nv4500 swap than i thought

its going in my 89 k5 with vacum brakes

thanks for any help

I had the same problem. Your hydro pedal setup probably come from a truck with hydro boost. The hydro boost setup only uses two studs on the main bracket instead of the four that the non-hydro boost trucks use. This setup also uses a slightly different size and location of the stud on the brake pedal. I fixed mine by using a brake pedal out of a non-hydro boost truck and spot welding two replacement studs on to the main bracket.

i swaped a set in years ago. it had come from 1/2 ton with vac brakes.

i put it in a 1ton truck with hydroboost.

i got lucky and the brake arm had the second hole for the diffrent pin hole . so i removed the pin from my reg pedel i was removing and welded it in the second hole. worked perfectly.

could i take a brake pedal from a truck with a mech. clutch setup with vacum brakes or are they different

ok i figured it out i took the automatic brake pedal and cut the pad part off or it and the manual then swapped on the manual pedal and welded it up and bolted that to the pedal group works great
