My 90 Crewcab requires high pedal effort to stop, especially quickly. This is the first hydroboost truck I've had experience with, so I have nothing to compare it to. Do these require more pedal effort compared to vacuum or could something be wrong? Thanks

hydroboost is an upgrade from vacuum, you have something not working well.
My first crewcab I would lock the brakes every time because I was driving it like my K5 with vacuum brakes.

I thought so...I'll have to troubleshoot it.

First check that the fluid levels are good, then check that canister on the HB unit, I think they are always gold color, these are the accumulators and they do go bad.

Of course mine's gold... I looked in the factory service manual, they say you compress the accumulator and insert a punch in a hole to get it out, I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the replies.
