I was given a new hydrobooster for a 81 chevy truck for some payback from a friend.My truck is a 86 that i'm in process of converting from 1/2 ton running gear to one ton running gear.14bff and d60.I DON'T HAVE A DONOR TRUCK.I'VE LOOKED NO LUCK.I need the firewall mount for the booster and a the correct pedal.Is it possible for me to use my original pedal and redrill the holes or will the new holes conflict the the old ones?Also how about the pushrod from pedal to hydrobooster?what is the difference between vacuum booster and hydro one

most likely you'll be able to reuse your pushrod, but if not, customizing one is not too difficult.

posts 125 and 151 probably will answer a lot of your questions.
unfortunately, you will not be able to get the hydroboost bracket from a dealer. your only option is a junkyard and they are a mutherfuucker to get off of the hydroboost unit.
if you can't find the correct plate, I could probably get you the one I have for the 90's style trucks. you can see the difference in post #90 in my thread. I know some guys have made a wedge shaped piece to make it work, but I don't know anything about that.

hydro boost brake arm piviot pin is bigger in dia and also positioned diffrent than vac brakes.

I just got done making the pushrod on a vacuum assist system fit where my hydroboost used to be. I had to open up the hole in the pedal arm about .105 to get the pin back through it. just used a 90 degree drill with a 1/2 inch diameter bur file to open the hole up, it worked well. I now have brakes.
