Hydroboost idea-good?

Pumps are same for hydroboost and non. My stock K30 Hydroboost has no remote res. The only difference is hydroboost has an extra fitting on the can for a return to the hydrobooster. Can should be the same size for either one. A hydroboost pump will have 3 lines coming out as apposed to 2 on a vaccum booster truck.

Below are pictures of the two pump reservoir types.

The brackets are cast aluminum - at least mine are - so no welding for me. I have a plan, and we'll post up pics if/when we are successful.

They're aluminum?? :doah: Hard for me to tell but thanks for pointing that out, Scott.

I'll have to check around into seeing if I can fit a separate pump in that smog pump's place. I hope no extra brackets need to be made to make it fit, because it will throw off the serpentine belt alignment.
And we'll need even longer belts to work with 2 pumps and a York, they might be even harder to find.

I'm planning on some extra bracketry, but yes belt alignment will be an issue.

Mine is definitely aluminum, but it's a GM aftermarket kit so you may want to double check yours. I'm pretty sure B_to_C's is aluminum also, though; and his is factory.

bggrnchvy has a build thread going over on 4x4 Mecca for his hydro setup on his '97 K1500. He made his own bracket from scratch. You can see it here: http://www.4x4mecca.com/forum/30742-post91.html
