Hello purchased a hydroboost on rockauto, and didnt come with the rod, return spring, or retainer. I have all 3 from an astro van booster i had laying around, but the output rod looks like it should be sticking out furthur.

Wondering how anyone that didnt have one, made one.

Thanks

Lots of different lengths on that rod.

I don't have reference to applications and lengths, but it's just a rod. Cut/weld or find the right one.

You also didn't tell us what you're trying to put this in to.

I had a difference in length, so we made a bushing to go on the end of the rod to make up the difference.

Sorry guys wrote the post kind of late and was tired.

Pedal from an 85' hydroboost suburban
Hydroboost from a 90 k5 with a 6.2
Master cylinder from a 96' suburban with a 6.5.
Going into a 90 k5 originally vacuum brake booster

Really im just looking for a direction on how to make a rod to the correct size.

I just measured the distance I needed to make up the gap between the two. made the bushing about 1/2" longer with the center drilled out to go over the pedal pushrod. We left a small gap between the two so there wouldn't be a problem with the brakes being applied prematurely.
