Well tonight I just fit the wires and made sure the headers were gonna clear everything. So far so good...Now I just need a a nice day with out rain (and with out work or school either /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif) to swap it in... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Let me know whatcha think /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Looks like sh*t. You need to get rid of it. I can pick it up and get out of your way ASAP. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Let me know when you want to drop that bad boy in. I am done with Finals so I am available 24/7 for the most part for the next 1.5 weeks. Then I am headed back to AZ.

I like those valve covers! They look familiar:

The headers should look familiar too...they are the same one you are getting from Spickler /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I am not sure what kinda power it is gonna make...I built it solely for torque. It has a low duration medium lift cam, Flat Top hypereutectic pistons, roller rockers, smal oval port heads...

Wade, the guy that did my short block assembly and Dave, the guy who did all my machine work, seem to think it will make around 360 horse and like 450 ft lbs way down low /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

The sad thing is I am already starting to collect parts to make it a 550hp screamer (I ordered a roller cam for it the other day). It will eventually have Edelbrock 6045 performer RPM heads (2.25"/1.88" valves, 110cc chamber), Comp 276HR cam and lifters, and the newer version of the Edelbrock Pro-Flo multi port system that can be adjusted with a laptop (akin to the Holly Cammander 950 system)

So we will have fun in the next year or so /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yeah!!!! Now if I can just find a factory serpentine belt setup, I could stuff that monster under the hood and see how long it takes to smoke the 700R4. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Looks great! I recently got my 454 in and running. What a fealing it was to fire it up!! I tried to run my wires around the back of the heads like that, But the didn't fit with the firewall. to dang close!

Is it going to ever see mud? If not, you better keep those pics to remember what was a pretty motor /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yeah, even with my SBC there wasn't much room back there...so once I get the SBC out, I plan on using my body hammer (read: 3lb sledge) to make a little more room for the wires to fit...
