Prefer a vendor to chime in but anybody who can make it will work. I am looking for a winch mount something like the center of the bumper pictured.

I don't need it welded up, just the plates cut. I would also need a piece of steel for the fairlead mount but I will cut it myself. I could fab it myself but the price of 1/4" flat is outragous around here. If somebody could do it shoot me a price with shipping to 17331. Just looking for the winch mount/skid pan, I will do the tube work.

It cost me less than $40 dollars in material to make mine almost eaxactly lihe it. Figure out the exact sqaure area of steel you need, and only buy that amount. I had very small amounts of scrap from the piece I bought. Mine has a slight bend in it that I had done as well. An old guy at a shop threw it in his brake and did a very light bend to compensate for the frames upward angle. I cut all the steel out with a cutoff wheel. It tokk a little while, but was a great starter project.

I priced 1/4x12" and they wanted $90 for 10 feet.:eek1:

I bought a 20 ft piece of 2X2 last year, found out here that I could have gotten some at the local steel scrap yard a lot cheaper! Never thought about that before! :wink1:

email my friend Chris at CRB Off Road [email protected] he is in Greenville, OH and made my bumper. Just tell him the sizes you need cut and he will give you a price. Here is his web site

Tell him you got his info off here from Lawrence he will do you right.

Kert (diy4x) is definetly the guy to talk too! Hes done a bit of work for me now and ive always been 100% satisfisfied with the price/ quality/ service. Hes definetly the guy to talk to!

Use 1/4x12 C channel. I made a crossmember on my 95 silverado out of it. Just cut a notch out for the fairlead. Cost me $25 for 1/4" thick x8" wide x2"tall and 35" long.

It's pretty bad when I can't find 1/4" plate at a decent price but I got 740' of 1 3/4x.120 DOM today for $2.27 per foot.

My fairlead is UHMW for my rope so I am not sure how well it will work without having some sort of backing.

I'll get you a number tomorrow. Don't have any of those drawings here at home with me.
