see what I did there? I'm so clever.

Anyway here it is, my new Toy. It's an 83 pickup, it's got a 22R with an LCE Weber carb, cam and header, a GM 1 wire alt and a York compressor. It's had a W56 trans swapped in paired up with a marlin crawler dual transfer case with 4.7s and twin sticks. The axles have 5.29s and Detroits, with chromoly 30spline axles and diff armor. The front is gusseted and has hi-steer. It's got either Marlin or trail gear springs on it (PO didn't know) with Johnny joint shackle hangers on the rear with Bilstein 5100s f/r mounted on trail gear hoops. Sliders, bumpers, flatbed and roll bar. The interior is beat, the body is rough and the engine bay needs to be cleaned up but I'm so stoked right now!!

Looks like it will be fun, Sounds like you got a lot of the right parts. That thing street legal? Don't forget to give the sub some love.

Cool purchase. I bet you will be wheeling that more than your burb.

Maybe I will get to see that rig in action some day. My V3500 Crew Cab 3+3 will hopefully be ready to fire up the new engine withing the next several weeks (after the Holidays), and after a couple of months working out the bugs every new build has, I should be ready to go wheeling with you guys this spring. On the day I fire up my new engine for cam break-in (flat tappet) I could use some help. If you are available to come over that would be cool. Phil has been to my shop to before.

My wife has a heep, technically I guess that makes it mine too. I will start a thread once I actually get to start fixing it...

Yeah it is, ill have plates on it in the next week or two. Daisy will still be getting love, I'm going to do some stuff to make her better suited for service as a tow rig.

Cool toy for sure. What size tires?

Daisy was meant to be an overlander/camper, I've been crawling it more and more so it was time for a more dedicated trail rig. I'll still run the easy stuff in the Suburban but she's going to spend some time pulling this thing around too. I'm down to come help, you're in Henderson right?

I spent some time going through the yota today. I found a few things that need to be fixed and made a list of things I need/want to do. The headlights, speedometer, blower motor and choke are inop and the clutch slave cyl leaks pretty bad. I took a pair of wheel spacers off the front axle, the previous owner "hooked me up" by throwing an extra set on there. The drivers front wheel bearing was a little loose so I tore into it and took care of that. Verified that I do in fact have 30spl axle shafts while I was in there. The wheel bearings were recently repacked, the grease was still really clean so that's cool. I removed all of the old stickers and a little rectangular piece of communism as well.

I think it sounds cool for a 4 cylinder. must be that crawler cam.

Interesting exhaust. Occasionally sounds like something bigger, sometimes even has a bit of almost a diesel sound.

That truck seems like it needs a small cage. Not sure why - but just seems like it.

Three words...

Ell Ess Swap

Do it now :flipoff7:

An Las engine will require an all new drivetrain. Not happening, it would cost more than I paid for the truck.

It'll get an exo cage as soon as I can arrange it.
