I need either a part numberor a place that carries a front 3/8" fuel (16mm at tbi) line that goes from the frame rail to the back of the throttle body for a stock TBI system i cannot find it anywhere. Thanks

Have you checked LMC truck?

Note about LMC truck: If it's being sold as OEM/GM parts, they are likely still available from the dealer, and thus probably a bit cheaper.

If you can't find anything, I can likely check my GM parts manual in the next few days to see if they are still available.

I had the same problems with the return line on the back of the TBI when it started leaking and was told that all the metal lines were discontinued. It may be time to look into some Earl's fittings and metal braided hose and make your own connection.

Either that or go to a bone yard and find one there.

5.7L
Fuel feed is 15548991
Return 15548993

7.4L
feed 15548992
return 15548994

Quick check on gmpartsdirect.com doesn't show any results, usually that means they are discontinued, but not always, and there may be stock left somewhere else. Google is your friend in these cases. :)

Brother in law just had to do this on the jimmy he just picked up. Ended up ordering earls fittings I believe. They are not available from GM or lmc.

The one on my '88 K5 was braided. I only know because when I bought it the PO had told me it had a "new engine" swapped in recently. After getting it home it stopped running and after a few days of working on it I had replaced a bunch of wiring that was left on the exhaust but his stellar engine installer's. Was driving it to the store one day months later with the dog and got half way down the driveway and saw smoke. Got out and popped the hood and saw gas pouring on the passenger exhaust manifold. The afore mentioned "mechanic's" had rigged up a piece of old rubber line between the TBI and fuel line which had burst and was now soaking my exhaust manifold. Anyway I got lucky on that one, especially since my wife had been driving it previously with my 2 and 4 year old daughters in it. I couldn't find a line either but stole one off a parts '88 I had.

88-95 body style use full braided stainless steal from tbi down to frame.

Being braided they obviously have some "adjustability", are they near the same length? Didn't realize these trucks had flex line that long, could certainly help with other injection swaps.... :)

on the 88-95 thay are braided from tbi all the way down to the bottom of firewall on to frame were the filter is driver side.

if i am recalling correctly as we are rust belt here and not many left on the road i see like this.
