I do not think this K5 was well bought. Your thoughts?

I understand clean full convertibles are sought-after, but that seems like a ridiculous price for a truck that isn't all original or a high-end restomod.

Everytime one sells for an outrageous price. My very average '74 goes up in value. Especially here in Cali where it's smog exempt.

For some people, money is easier to get. If that were me, I'd buy one that I liked already done and skip the build process. If you bought a pos and took it to a shop to be restored, it would surely tip 100k. To those people this might seem like a bargain.

For $65K I sure as hell do not want a small block 350 in there. For my taste I think Blazers look better dirty and used, well used within reason.

If it had a perfect paint job I would not want to scratch it. Kinda defeats the purpose for having a K5.

I dont know man. The older I get, the more I miss driving the clean trucks I had a long time ago.
I would love to have a clean original 91 blazer. Best of the best imo.
That was my exact motivation for my search/purchase. Will I be able to keep my hands off it 100%? Time will tell.

How many threads do we need on the increasing price of nice old iron?

Nice old iron has ALWAYS been pricey. This is nothing new. The only difference now is you know about it across the country due to the net.
Guys like us typically don't spend that kind coin on stuff. But rich people have been buying rich things since the end of time.
Just the way she goes.
