In my shop. Doing stuff.
The last big piece of the truggy puzzle. A 1939 Chevy truck. This truck is almost too nice to rape and turn into a truggy. But the price was right.

She's beautiful.......Let the raping begin :D

Make sure you keep the wood bed :haha:
Where'd you finally find it Wade?

I can tell you are excited, you jumped out of your truck to take pics and didn't even close your door :haha:

The truck was in down town Colorado Springs. I talked to the guy in November. He had it sold. The guys check bounced, so offered him 1/2 of that price in cash. I picked it up today.

I can not wait to start on it. As soon as the footings cure for the lift in the shop, I will begin.

do you mind if i ask how much? id rape that thing in a heartbeat!

$1000 with an ID tag and the paperwork to register it. The truck does not have any rust in it. Except for the grill, it is complete down to the key.

That should be pretty sweet. Its good to see you found what you were looking for. I noticed you said "almost" to nice to rape. I'd do in a heart beat.:hack::grind::weld::grind::D
Do think it'll see any trails this summer?

get rid of those front fenders and the front is already dovetailed!
Yeah, keep the hood, grill, and headlights. That will keep the cool look. Along with the cab of course.

I've often thought it would cool to do something like you're planning with a t-bucket, especially since repros are readily available.

The whole reason I was looking for a 35 to 40 Chevy was the dovetailed nose. That was the idea all along. The cab is the perfect shape to build an exo cage around it. The will be a flat bed that will cover the wheels on the street, then the sides will fold up for wheeling. I have big plans. Lets see if I can make it happen.

I've never really taken pictures of a build. More interested in getting it done. I will keep track of this one.
Yeah that's how I always feel. When I'm done I think, "I should have taken some pictures along the way." Oh well it's more fun to have it done and playing with it. :D
