and what comes with a bumper??? A winch! Finally I haven't had a winch since I bought the blazer and parked the one ton.

I still need to weld in the side support bars for the stinger, drill a couple more holes for mounting bolts and then paint it, but it is on and useable!

So, what do you y'all think? The stinger kinda looks off-center but it's not, I had to mount the winch a little more to one side so it would fit. The joys of re-fabbing something that was made for something else.

The stinger looks funky, and not because the winch is off center. I think it needs to come to a narrower point or it needs to stick out more, or just cut it off. But that is just imo.

I think the hoop could stand to be a little higher but, I really don't care for the ones that stick out so far that you can touch things 5 feet in front of the truck. It was already on the bumper, I didn't make it. I think it'll look better when I get the support bars on. I don't think it turned out too bad for using spare scrap iron to make it fit a winch and blazer.

I wouldn't call that hoop a stinger. To me a stinger is a tall hoop that is higher than the hood and sticks way out so that if the truck rolls, the hood and engine hopefully won't get smashed.

I like what you're doing though. I would run some bars from about 3/4 of the way up the hoop, down to the bottom part of the bumper, kind of like the bumper on the truck you see in my avatar. That's a Blazin' Off Road bumper. Your bumper is narrower though, so it won't look quite the same.

Keep up the good work.

I also like how you've got the off road lights mounted in place of your high beams. I may just steal that idea...;)

I'm not a huge fan of the stinger but, I am digging the bumper and winch mount! That's exactly like what I'd like to have! :waytogo:

Go right ahead, it won't bother me one bit! The p.o. swapped out the grill this had before, then I broke and swapped it out again. So it had the marker/blinkers in the grill and also under the headlights like an 85. The ones under the headlights weren't hooked up, so I put those on. Just welded a light tab in there and used a factory hole to hook up the grounds. The bumper was on the wifey's scout when we got it. Now she wants to sell the scout, so I pulled the bumper and York before it gets sold.:D
