So after a big storm last night I've just about had it with the k5 having the top leaking. I've finally ordered it. I've placed new gaskets on both the top and the truck thinking that was the issue with no avail. I've swapped the window gaskets as well and still getting infiltration. For my own personal sanity I think it was the right move. Even thought dropping over 1k for it kinda hurt. I hope it was an investment well worth it.

Just installed mine over the weekend was well worth the money and wait

That ain't bad at all. Maybe I'll try to get it painted before it comes In.

Yeah I was reading though either you thread or another members that 2 sets of hands and some warm weather will make the install go way smooth

I love my soft topper. It's not 100% waterproof on my '74 though. Water finds it's way in by the windows. But only if you're not moving. I carry a tarp to put over the top of windows when I park and expect heavy rain.

Overall it's fairly dry. Hard to make it 100% waterproof when the window has nothing to seal on. But the top flap directs most of the water away

Thanks for the heads up I was just tired of having my interior constantly smelling mildewy after hard storms. Especially after I replaced the carpet the seats and bedside panels. It just extremely frustrating. Putting in all the work and time to feel like it's just going to waist.
