well as the title says dimond in the rough, im sure all of you have wanted to find that dream truck, and so have i, since i bought my truck (1986 GMC Sierra Classic 1500) back in 2005. i have been searching every week in bargainnews for a k30 single wheel with a 454/465/205, 14ff and d60, typical single k30. me and my dad went and looked at ALOT of trucks between then and now, saw one k30 with a plate in the frame it was so rusty and the guy still wanted $3000 . so when i saw this truck in the bargainnews we jumped on it, 5 minutes after i saw it my dad was on the phone with the guy, half hour later we were at the guys house. thats where it was, 1983 Chevy single wheel k30, 454/465/205. the guy wanted to keep it to lift it but had other obligations so he had to sell, his father inlaw bought it brand new in 83 and used it to tow sheep to fairs. that's it, never plowed ( first k30 ive ever seen w/o a plow) and if it was ever taken out in the winter it was washed when it got home cause the frame is perfect. all for $2000 :D , the guy wanted 2300 but we offered 2 and he said "ok but i get to keep the radio and battery", me and pops looked at eachother and were like, OK!

i plan on putting my 1500 cab on it because the floors are mint, just needs rockers and cab corners, and it has power door locks, power windows and A/C if i ever want to hook it up. the chassis is getting a body off with a rust bullet bath, 6" skyjacker fronts, Diy4x Shackle flip rear, 1" shackles, and 2" body, itll be about 9ish lift when all said and done, on 40s, havent decided which tires yet, engines getting a crane cam, wieand stealth intake, and holley truck avenger. since im still only 15 i have a good year to get it done
:D

Very nice!

Man, patience pays off; doesn't it  ?!

And you can't beat the vehicles history either! Very nice find, indeed!

Congrats. Good find. I'm very surprised that kinda limited rust could be found up in the North.

And learn how to spell the word "diamond", youngbuck.... You're embarassing us all.

Parading that rig of yours :D :haha: :p: !

Sweet! I'd love to snag that when ever you do up the quads... ;)
We'll talk later...

Lucky bastard.;)

Nice find!

Around here the drivetrain alone would go for more than that. The good shape body (relatively...hey, this is the rust belt) would get you even more on top of that...

<----Ponders just how much he paid for his "rust free" truck.

its not rust free. the driver and passenger rockers are shot, wheel wells getting a little, front fender has some pin holes but will be cut out when i cut them.
