I found the noise coming from my seat

I wanted to get out and let the truck run so I've been driving it all week. I completely forgot that when I parked it last time the drivers seat was clicking and moving like I had broke a mounting bolt or two. I didn't give it a second thought and figured I fix it when I had some. So I go to find the source and come to find the whole seat bracket has broke through the floor. The floor is in perfect shape and has ZERO rust....it just flat out broke through it. So now I get to pull the seats and all the interior and fix about a 5in hole in my floor and all the cracks coming off of it.

Yep, common problem in the floors where the seats bolt up.

My blazer was doing that doo. I welded a washer on the underside and the top side and forgot about it.

the outer rear foot of my drivers seat did the same thing. I had to fix it about 2 weeks ago. A small crack had turned into a major blowout of about a 3" round piece of floor. I welded a fender washer to a piece or 8"x8" 20ga plate and pop riveted it to the floor in about 8 spots. Hopefully it will hold. Now that I dont have any carpet though I will know when it fails this time.

Mine was welded once but it didnt hold. I really didnt want to tear the floor boards out so I cheaped out, used some heavy duty 4" angle brackets, trimmed to fit, paint to match and its been working great for the past 4 years
