<font color=green> ok when i would hit a bad bump in the road, my front end would start shaking back and forth and i would have to slow way down to around 20-25mph to get it to stop. I replaced both tie rod ends on my drag link and that helped a bunch but i still get the shaking when i hit a bad bump in the road every once in a while. WHat could this be? should i replace all my other tie rod ends ? I have a ORD Steering brace installed too, but it didnt stop this? any suggestions would be appeciated, thanks

later got to roll.........

<font color=green> well im running a rancho steering stabilizer, its a single unit, but ill check it. U think going to a dual stablilizer would be a good choice?

my 87 with 33" and 2" lift never did that. I didn't have a stabilizer at all. my 76 on 40's only had a single stabilizer. I would jack up the front and check everything out good. How are the shocks. I have seen on some lift kits with "loose springs" wobble when the shocks are shot. hows the front alignment? if the toe set is out, the tires will fight each other to pull straight after a bump.

your right. I don't understand the jeep thing!

I had a similar problem on a 2wd truck. It turned out to be a bad tire. Tread seperated!!

You shouldnt need to run more than one stabilizer. Have the tires balanced and check to see if all the suspension bolts are tight (except the spring eye bolts, they should just be snug). Have you removed the sway bar? If so, then you might want to consider reinstalling it and installing the ORD disconnect kit for when you are wheeling. The sway bar should help prevent the wobbles some. I had/have this problem too since i went to 35x15.50 swampers, but then I dont have the sway bar installed. Balancing the tires and installing a good, single stabilizer helped eliminate the problem for the most part. Stil get it once in a blue moon.

check your bearings first to see if your safe to even be driving it after that check the ball joints and tires

Check the balljoints and wheel bearings, tie rod ends. A steering stabilizer IMHOis a band aid to cover up front end problems. I had one on, then I replaced the tie rods and balljoints, never put it back on. Haven't had a problem in the 5 months since then.

I had that problem too...

It was after a long ass trip to Lake Havasu, AZ.. I drove for 13 Hrs... and when I got there it started wobbling bad when ever I hit a bump... I checked everything.. Ball joints, Dual Stabilizesr, Tie Rods everything.. .. it still did it..
Then I was messing with with the wheel and I turned it and my stearing box started to move... It was as loose as a $2 whore... after I tightened it, it went away..
Good thing it didn't come completly off.....
