I know, I know...Anyways I got a '95 E250 Cargo van with the straight six and the tranny went out today:mad:. I think it is a C4 transmission but i'm not sure. My question is, is the bolt pattern the same for a 302, 351, and staight 6? Is there and different outputs on the 2WD C4 or can I just buy one and put it in. Thanks guys!

YOu sure it doesn't have overdrive? If it does it's more than likeley an AOD. I'm pretty sure the small block V-8's and the straight 6 do have the same bolt pattern. The 2 & 4 whl drive tranny's are different in the matter of the tailshaft. I ran with the classic Bronco crowd for about 10 yrs while I had my 68 and 70 Bronco's.

Alright, I'm 90% sure its got an E4OD tranny. I've got a 1999 ford E-250 with an E4OD but it has a 5.4. Do you think I could swap them out? (Motor in the '99 is locked up)

302 and 300 6cyl have the same bellhousing pattern...the 5.4 is a totally different animal altogether...it most likely is an E4OD....any E4OD out of a late 80's to late 90's van or truck WITH either the 5.0 or 4.9 will work as long as its 2wd

The 351 W is the same block as the 302, I do not know about the newer 5.4.

Where do you guys think I should get it rebuilt? It is an E4OD. I went to a smaller shop and got a "worst case senario" $1500 installed bid. $1100 if I install it myself. Don't know much about aamco or cottman. Anyone ever used a national brand?
