so i was under my blazer today and took off the starter since i was putting new wires in and i find out that the PO apparently stripped the outside threads for the starter and tried to rethread it. he did a HORRIBLE job and now i get to deal with trying to figure out a way to get the bolt to stay in there without replacing the engine block. any ideas? im having trouble thinking of how to fix this because most of my thoughts right now are involving going all the way back to his house and kicking his ass for this and the other things that he supposedly "fixed" but in all actuality he just covered up the problems really well. thanks in advance for everyones help.

alright well hopefully an ass kicking and a helicoil will do the trick, can i get em locally or just off the internet. i know ive seen stuff like them at home depot and lowes but id rather not go with their sub par(for me at least) stuff

Well since part of it is sticking out weld a nut on the end and turn that part out. Then run a tap through the hole and see how a bolt threads into it

thank man i think im gonna use that, i was actually planning on drilling it out so i could weld a nut in there and just screw it in that way but i think ill just do the loctite method until something goes wrong with it
