Somewhere around 3x what its rated for.

When I got the trl new the axle was bowed upword and the wheels would have some pos camber when mt.Now its bowed down and the camber is negative.:doah:I need to replace the axle someday but will probable get 2 and make it a duel. Its too easy to overload the trl because of the size plus I like to get the most wood I can with each load.I just hope it doesnt snap in half in the meantime because thats a little ways off.

Sounds like you need a way heavier duty trailer, not just another axle.

Make a longbed trailer with a FF axle. You'll have less room, so less likely to overload....and a way stronger axle.

Those small trailer axles have VERY low capacity.

It is sort of a flimsy trl.Got it from Tractor supply store and was not bad for the price.Cant afford another so will have to beaf it up and make due.

Tractor supply sells a replacement axle and heavier duty axles <$250~. I saw a real bad accident a few years ago right near my house when a guy had a similar trailer overloaded with firewood and was towing it with a beat to hell '80's 1/2 ton. Don't be that guy.

As far as I know the axle it has is rated for 3500lbs.I know I load it past that especialy when its early in the season and the trees havent droped there water for the winter yet.Ill have to check there site out again because Im not sure Ive seen a single axle rated for more than that.I do have to start loading it less though because it starts fishtailing with the slightest steering wheel movement.I wont go over 40mph because of that.
