When I first looked at this rig...
the motor was knocking ...
I drove the truck home...it backfired...then it started to run smooth..
by the time I got the rig home..it was running like a kitten. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I think the motor that was JUST installed...had a sticky valve or something..
or it JUST likes ME!!! /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

86 K30
noisy 350 motor...(needs replaced)

hydro-clutch

The frame is a little rotted in the rear...
what do you guys think???

Well look at it this way , the parts are worth more than the whole truck . You could post the axles, hydro parts , trans , and case and make more than that easily . So if you had a straight rust free frame , swap them on and it sounds like a good deal to me , or if you are capable fix the frame and go /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Drat! I stopped to look at that truck, he wanted $1500, and of course I didn't have it all. Grrrrr
its on Hametown Rd, right? I live seriously 4 minutes from there.

well, if you end up not needing the clutch stuff/tranny/transfer, then *cough* I need it!

I need a new plow rig...so I'm not planning on parting out..

Oh well, I just needed the 32 spline 465/205 and hydro clutch out of that. I live on Taylor Rd on the other side of 21. I'm surprised I've never seen your K5.

Oh, so what are the details on the CC? hehe

no no good, very bad combo, the years got a lot of problems
frame being weak makes it unreparable, avode this at all expence.

I don't drive down Hametown regularly, just once in a while when I am out driving around. I guess I need to look closer! lol

I was just at Beheydt's about 2-3 weeks ago, They only had a couple of 4x4's that I could see. A 78-79 Ford Bronco, an early 80's SFA Toy, and a really stripped down K20 with a 10/14 bolt. I didn't see a K30 in there, but it might be gone.

Oh well, I got my (Dodge) Dana 60 there for $150, at least you didn't get your dirty little paws on it first /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
