We've been wanting to put some shelves up in the basement to help with organizing our surplus crap. Well I got up today wanting to start on them but the first thing I thought of was needing some sawhorses. Well, a quick search turned up a set that looked sturdy and were stackable for storage.
They cost about $35 in materials (9 2"x4"x8' and a small box of 9x3" deck screws) and took about an hour to build. I'm pretty happy with them, especially considering they are my first real wood working project since AG class in middle school.
Here are the plans I used. I changed them a little and inset the legs 1" just because I figured a little extra space out on the end on the underside could come in handy.

Guess we'll see how they do when I get started on the shelves next month.
