and shut up, the PO painted the steering /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

36s? man, im flattered /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

those are 285/75/16 regul M/Ts. it does look a lot bigger than that in that picture. what you cant see is that theres a floor jack holding the axle up from full droop and there arent any wheels there. /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

and no, the only thing close to wheeling ive done with it was flex it out on a dirt pile in my friend's back yard. right now its sitting in his shop on jackstands with no tranny in it /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

anyway, im hoping to get a set of 33" TSLs and a lock-rite for the rear end. someday it'll have a full cage and sit on 37" krawlers....(yea john, keep tellin yourself that) /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

btw, i didnt cut - excuse me, massacre - the fenders, the PO did. i think he may have been drunk when sawzall occured /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I knew they looked tiny but the tread pattern looked like an IROK to me.

no, thats just the cupping that happened when i ran those tires on the yukon /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

i can see why they looked like IROKs though /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

So this post is only 3 months behind, but anyway..

It runs now, got the new transmission in, new transfer case ready to go in this weekend along with another rear main seal. Got a tracbar on order, and all I (hopefully) need is wheels and a little brakework before it's semi-reliable. Keep your fingers crossed that it'll rear it's ugly head at ECBB

It looks kinda big when it's on the lift. You can see how the axle hangs down to the left side because the trac bar is too short. Also why the front pinion rubs on the exhaust downpipe. I'm all giddy to get this thing running. And it is an absolute dog with a 4.slow/3.55s/33s

What year is it? My 91 xj is not slow and it has 31's. I can lay down rubber in 2 gears.

It's a 90, but the PO ragged the **** out of it and I'm fixin all the crap he broke. Can't wait to drive it.

On the back hatch next to the "When I grow up, I want to be a Chevy" decal.

It runs again. Took it for a spin a few minutes ago. The new transfer case works, and it's not leaking oil nearly as bad (I think that's due more to the fact that in the midst of progress we lost a few oil pan bolts). Anyway it runs, and pretty well for a $450 jeep, so my night went well.

And my buddy's shop is turning out nicely, painted floors and walls, new cabinets, and it's organized now.

Anyway, I'll get some pics up later.
