i guess my Diverter Valve Link Connector W A/C decided to break

the dreaded plastic clip broke
Do you beat out the nail like retainer or just pry it out
 
Wish there was a "no like" button
Only because that is the most painful part to remove.
I tapped the nail out on mine and it was slow an tedious, since I dont want to break or remove the whole assembly to take it out.
 
thats what ill have to do then cause i am not taking that out for a piece of plastic
just hope it doesnt take a week to get here it is cold
 
No it's under dash, I don't think it's common the first one lasted 40 years
 
I dont know, every square I’ve ever owned, needed that replaced.
 
First pic is new part I hope a cotter pin will hold it.
Second pic is the only use of this tool my dad had, it's an electric hammer from craftsman. One good hit and out the nail came but where it went is another story
