Yup I won a STC soft top of my choice at the raffle :bow: ThankYou STC & the Karma Gods :bow:

So I have the old snap top on my K5 now. It is torn and weathered so I actually needed new top.

Should I get another snap top or install the newer Fast Track style?
 
I say go fast track, the snaps suck. I have to replace them constantly, both the snaps on the top and the screw on the sheet metal. Not to mention what a PITA they are when it gets a little chilly.

Ya true I have had to replace snaps many many times....
I forgot my gift cert at home today so I will have to order it tomorrow :D

Damn, this may inspire me to paint my rig too...probly a good rattle can job at most :D

I was thinking I may beable to use my existing snaps on the new top but I highly doubt the snaps would line up right :rolleyes:

Ya I think I will convert to fast track. I am also thinking of Back Denim color :D

How bad is your old besttop softie? it CANT be as bad as mine... if your gonna get rid of it sooner or later... maybe we can work a deal... ;)
 
It is an old Kayline snap top.
You can have it my friend. The rear window has a sm. tear/hole and the two zippers fer da rear winder don't work so well. The top itself is still all there, just old and the plastic is faded/foggy windows. It still works so....yer name is onit if you want. Heck you could use it as a bikini top with some mods or run 'safari' all the time to keep the sun off yer head :D
Oh and I ment to give you my old Stage8 bolts&keepers...next time :haha:

Do a CK5 East Coast chapter run. (get permission from SteveO)
We send a letter to as many manufacturs as we can telling them about the event and the rafflel that is taking place and some send good stuff and some send stickers or hats and some send nothing. This year was perrty good as we recived more responces from more companys than ever before :D

Anyway I just ordered my FastTrack Black Denim w/dark windows :bow:

hahahah Ya I did get lucky this year. I never realy win much, this year I nailed it!
We were giving away two soft tops, BestTop & STC donated a top. The other sweet prize was donated by Ramsey a 12K winch!
Damn now I am thinking paint for my sheet metal to go with my new fancy top :rolleyes:
If I do paint it I will just rattle can it so I don't have to worry about scratches and stuff :doah:

If you and Ryan don't work it out on that soft top....I could sure use one.

It's getting tiring lifting off a hardtop every time the weather's nice....and then lifting it back on when there's the slightest chance of rain.

Besides....you have a history of donating tops to me. That hardtop I'm currently using is that old two-tone one off your Blazer!!! :thumb:

Burt, Painting the rig would cost too much!! I will help you out financially by not forcing you to paint your rig. Mine's already painted so I will just PM you my address and you can send the top to me. Heck I'll even spring for shipping. :haha: And as an added bonus I could ship ya my Kayline snap top. :rolleyes:

Go fastrac and denim. My vinyl never comes clean. Motor sounded good at the fest. Didn't get to see you wheel it much. Everyone seemed to go out in different packs all weekend. Hope to wheel with more of you next year. I was ignored by alot of guys, guess my rig was to pretty and people thought I didn't wheel it or something. Although everyone liked taking pictures of my wife and her friend.

hey man sorry i didn't get a chance to meet you... there were quite a few blazers and faces i didn't recognize this year at blazerfest. maybe i should have gone around introducing myself. didn't mean to ignore everyone else. ;)
it seemed like there was just not enough time in those few short days to do everything!

PS... Sorry Greg, maybe if you were still in cali you'd be able to pull the "heh heh I'm closer." dibs and get it.
But instead you'll have to try and figure some way to snake it out from under me before the next time i see burt. :wink1:
