i sat in traffic for @ an hr....on a f'n INTERSTATE! WTF! missed patient visitation w/ my wife...if i would have known the surface streets, I'm sure i could have taken any exit and found my way....

think I'm buying this, its no garmin...but?

I've been looking at them...and for the $ and all it does, size of screen, free real time traffic! i wanted 1 i could use on 4 wheeler also and it says it has a 4.5 hr battery, that should be plenty, especially if i just turn it on when i want to see where i am or mark a spot on map

what say ye..whats best unit/price you've found on 1 of these..lets try to stay @ $3-500...which 1's y'all been eying

I got a garmin nuvi 250 and a 300 for between 2 or 3 hundered each. I love it! Go to bestbuy and check them out! How's the wifey doin?
 
i know alot of my buddies w/ prerunners use lowrance gps systems and i have never heard a single complaint, im pretty sure the whole desert community uses them and i know alot if not all of the pros do. check them out the company is really big and im sure they have something you could afford/use, im pretty sure that most of their models they have a color and black and white version so you could get a better gps in black and white or a similar one in color. or you could be cool and get a tomtom and have a gps to talk to if you ever get lonely on the trail.... "tomtom where are we?"
