They do nothing but enable backwoods bumblefarck BillyBob wiring hack jobs that I have to clean up and do right...which usually means starting from scratch...

That is all.
 
They're super evil up here in the salt belt. The PO of my truck wired the trailer harness with them and the tail lights stopped working due to corrosion.
 
those scotch locks only work under the dash and should never be used anywhere else.
i spent a few days re-wiring a truck and trailer that had those all over the place. I'm sure many of you have seen tractor trailer units covered in lights before yeah guy did it all in those connectors. :mad::mad:
 
I don't even use those. I had used those things a few times, but after I had to fix the taillight wiring on my 73 blazer and my dad's 91 because others used those things to wire the trailer plugs. This was 15 years ago.
I also don't even like the look of those things in a wiring harness.
 
They sell, that's why they are made. I propose legislation to make them illegal though. Can't think of one practical application for them.

i can! u can pull ticks off ur dog with them. then the metal part holds them in place til you flush them or burn them.:wink1:
