The question I have is this. I just recently swaped out my th400/208 combo for a 465/205 combo. The sleve that mates the 465 output shaft to the 205 input shaft. Well it has alot of slop and I got a new sleve from the gm dealer. I pulled the 205 2day at work to put in the new sleve and it was the wrong one, funny. the output shaft on the 465 is 10spline and the other is a 27 spline. the one sleve I got is 10 splines at both ends. The dealer said they never heard of that. So what I was thinking the sleve was machined or homebrew. IF I am correct the 27 spline shafted is from a automatic? Dose anyone know where I can get a new sleve with 10spines for the tranny and on the other end 27 splines for the t-case.

just get a 10 spline input for the 205 , or vice versa . a splined coupler like that will be $$ i work in a machine shop i i know what im talking about .

If you have a 27 spline 205 that case is worth more than a 10 spline one anyway. Sell it and get a 10 spline one!!

so I can spend some $$ on getting a sleve made or sell the 205 and get a 205 with a 10 spline shaft or find a 205 inputshaft with 10 splines and swap it with the one I got.
what 2 do what 2 do

Try advanced adaptors,,,

BTW they are now selling the adaptor plates that go between the trans and the transfer case. (T-350 to 205) My friend broke his and we had one shipped, the quality was great as they have beefed up the castings in the right spots.
