yea i was wondering if the nv4500 out of a 93 chevy 1 ton since it has the lowest first gear manuel trans from a 2 wheel dive truck would be the same as a fourwheel drive and if not the same would i just have to put the adapter between the trans and transfer case off of a four wheel drive nv4500 ....CAN ANYONE ANSWER THIS FOR ME

2wd tranny stick for gm basicly have 1 tail shaft.

then 4wd tranny stick have other tail shaft.

so this would mean full tear down and swap tail shafts.

what you see out the back is the end of the main shaft. swap the main shafts. and OD housings.

but like he said. total dissasembly of each.

The part standing up on the right, you'd need to strip that down and swap all the gears, synchro's etc onto a 4WD mainshaft, then re-assemble and add a 4WD output adaptor.

Output adaptor part is the aluminum crap between the trans and the 203 range box in this pic.

Oh come on Rene, just swap him transmissions since you'll never use that thing anyways.
