What kind of gas milage do you guys get who drive an early 90's 3/4 ton 4x4 chevy with a 350?
And how much does the gas milage change from reg. cab to extended cab?

My friends uncle has a 1990 standard cab long bed 1/2 ton with the 350 and 5 spd, he gets 14-16 with a canopy on it. he has the TBI spacer, cam, and chip with exhaust on it. soon to be dropping in a Vortec 454 /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

It's a tad heavier than a pickup, but our '94 4WD Suburban with a 350 gets 11-12 in town and 13-15 on the highway. If you can manage to get a '96 or newer, it will have the much more powerful Vortec engine under the hood. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

I get around 16 highway and 13 city on my 89' 3/4 ton extended cab shortbed, but it has a 2000 crate motor in it so theremight be a difference.

With my 88 blazer stock 5.7 with 33s and 3.73 gears I am getting about 14-16 miles to the gallon. With my 97 tahoe stock 5.7 with stock tires and 3.42 gears I am getting around 15-17 miles a gallon .I am still dumbfounded as to how my old trusty k5 is almost better on fuel than my 97 with a vortec .It must be gear ratios and weight difference ..hope this helps ya...............good luck.........
